Improper waste management is an environmental issue requiring awareness, practical skills, and sustained collaboration. This community service initiative aimed to enhance the environmental literacy of university students and local residents through integrated waste management training in Tanah Tinggi Urban Village, Ternate City. The event took place at the Nahdlatul Ulama University of North Maluku campus on June 11, 2026, involving local residents, students, and participants of the Student Community Service (KKN) program. The activity employed a combination of environmental education, interactive lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Topics covered included the identification of organic, inorganic, and household hazardous waste; sorting techniques; composting; simple recycling methods; and an introduction to ecobricks. Evaluation was conducted descriptively by observing participant engagement, the ability to categorize waste samples, responsiveness during discussions, and participation in practical sessions. Results indicated that participants were actively engaged and generally able to identify and sort waste correctly according to category following the explanations and guidance provided. The activity also highlighted the economic potential of recyclable materials. Ensuring the program's sustainability requires the provision of facilities for sorted waste, periodic guidance, the establishment of environmental working groups, and the initiation of a small-scale waste bank
