Abstract

School libraries are the heart of education. Every school that wants quality education always develops a library. The presence of a library in every educational unit, including school education, is a must. A library also requires a system to collect data, process data, store data, review data and convey good information, one of which is having high data accuracy. To meet these needs, efforts that must be made by libraries are the use of information technology such as computers and other library information system applications in addition to increasing human resources and improving systems. For these reasons, researchers built a web-based library information system. This research uses a prototype system development method. The system trial uses the black box testing method which is carried out at the system implementation stage and is running according to the design, where each menu in the system can be accessed and used according to the function of each menu. The result of this research is that a library information system has been successfully created so that it can help the school and also make it easier for students in the process of borrowing and returning books.
