Abstract

An expert system is a computer-based system that uses knowledge, facts, and reasoning techniques in solving problems that can usually only be solved by experts in a particular field. The advantages of expert systems include allowing ordinary people to do the work of experts (experts). Cats are one of the popular animals among people of all walks of life and ages, because seeing their cute physical shape and adorable behavior is one of the reasons why many people like this one pet. But not a few animal owners who do not know how to properly care for their pets, so that pets are easily attacked by diseases. Worm disease in cats is a disorder in cats caused by micro-organisms (mine worms, ring worms and tape worms). The spread of worm disease in cats is usually through the outdoors, and environmental factors may hunt rodents and become infected by worm larvae that live in animal tissues, often cat owners feel confused about the disease suffered by their pets so they need the help of an expert who understands about cat disease. In the expert system on worm disease in cats there is a knowledge table, which from this knowledge table can produce tracking of symptoms that can produce worm diseases in cats, where R1 = IF (G1) Decreased appetite AND, (G2 ) Dull cat hair AND (G3) stones due to migration of larvae through the lungs, AND (G4) distended stomach, AND (G5) Fever AND (G6) Vomit (Vomiting), THEN Roundworms (P1), and R2 = IF ( G7) Bloody stools, AND (G8) Weakness and weakness due to anemia, AND (G9) nausea AND (G10) Always hungry, AND (G11) Weight loss, AND (G12) Weakness THEN Hookworms (P2), and finally present R3 = IF (G13) Diarrhea or loose stools, AND (G14) Shortness of breath, AND (G15) Problems with absorption of food nutrients, AND (G16) Worms seen in feces, AND (G17 Increased desire for salty food so the cat is always thin, THEN Tapeworm (P3).
