This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of farmer-breeders in producing locally based liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) from organic waste materials in Lampermai Village, Aceh Besar District. The primary issues faced by the community include limited utilization of livestock waste and a strong reliance on chemical fertilizers, which contributes to increased production costs and reduced long-term soil quality. The program was implemented through several stages: awareness campaigns, hands-on demonstrations of LOF production using livestock manure and local bio-resources, technical mentoring, and evaluation of participants’ engagement and skill improvement. The results indicated a significant increase in participants’ knowledge regarding organic fertilizer production and their practical ability to adopt the technology in their farming and livestock management practices. Additionally, the utilization of locally available materials was considered cost-effective and environmentally friendly, supporting the sustainability of local agricultural production systems. This activity is expected to contribute to improved agricultural productivity, reduced waste generation, and strengthened autonomy of farmer-breeders in fulfilling production inputs sustainably.
