Teknik Pengolahan Limbah Agroindustri sebagai Pakan Alternatif untuk Ternak Ruminansia

The priority issue for ruminant farmers in Lampermai Village, Krueng Barona Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency, is still the low ability to process animal feed. Therefore, this community service program aims to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and feed technology to enhance the capacity of farmers in providing quality feed. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it was found that farmers still use a system of providing green feed without paying attention to the appropriate nutritional content. The method of implementing the activities was carried out through socialization, technical training, and field assistance. The results of the activities also showed success in the production of fermented feed (silage) from local materials, such as rice straw and bran. This activity has a positive impact on feed management efficiency, particularly in the knowledge and skills of the farmers. Conclusion: This community service program successfully enhanced the capacity of farmers in processing and managing ruminant livestock feed. The application of simple technologies, such as silage production, can optimize the use of local materials and improve feeding efficiency.

Lampermai Village, located in Krueng Barona Jaya Subdistrict, Aceh Besar District, holds significant potential for the development of ruminant livestock, particularly beef cattle. However, limited knowledge among farmers regarding feed processing and management has been a major barrier to improving livestock productivity. This community service program aimed to enhance farmers' capacity through training and assistance in feed processing using local resources, such as agricultural waste and forage. The methods included education sessions, demonstrations of fermented feed production, and hands-on practice in feed management and livestock care. The results of the program showed improved knowledge and skills among farmers in producing quality feed, which led to cost efficiency and increased animal weight gain. Additionally, the establishment of a farmer working group has strengthened community networks in sustainable feed management. This initiative is expected to serve as a community empowerment model in the livestock sector that can be replicated in other areas with similar potential

This community service activity aims to provide technical training to the residents of Air Panas Village, Sahu Timur Subdistrict, West Halmahera Regency, in processing Pisang Mulu Bebe into flour as a form of local food diversification. The primary problem faced by the community partner is the lack of skills and access to simple technology for post-harvest processing, particularly for local bananas, which are mostly consumed fresh. The training used a hands-on approach and focused on the processing stages including steaming, sun-drying, grinding, sifting, and packaging. The results indicate an improvement in participants' skills, with the banana flour produced meeting basic food texture standards. The program also sparked independent initiatives to continue production and demonstrated a viable solution to local problems while opening up new small-scale business opportunities based on local resources.

The Community-Based Waste Management Education Program in Mangga Dua Utara aims to enhance community awareness and participation in effective waste management. Given that the waste generated reaches 120 tons per day, with only 60% properly managed, this program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of waste reduction, sorting, and recycling techniques. The implementation of this program utilizes information and communication technology (ICT) to reach the community through social media and online platforms. The activities involve collaboration between the government, NGOs, and local communities. Expected outcomes include increased community awareness, reduced waste volume, and the establishment of waste management groups at the neighborhood level. This program is anticipated to foster a sustainable waste management culture within the community.

Pembuatan Kompos Limbah Rumah Tangga Menggunakan Metode Biopori Di Kota Wirobrajan Yogyakarta

Pemasangn biopori ini dilaksanakan di kota wirobrajan yogyakarta dimana daerah ini terletak di tengah kota padat penduduk. Metode biopori ini memiliki tujuan sebagai media pembuatan kompos limbah rumah tangga yang tertanam di halaman atau pekarangan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan pralon pvc dengan melubangi dengan arah vertical, setiap lubang memiliki diameter 2-3 cm, dan ditanam pada kedalaman kurang lebih 100cm. Hasil yang telah dilaksanakan terpasang 11 buah biopori yang tersebar di 11 titik tersebar di wilayah Rt 36. Pemasangan ini melibatkan seluruh warga secara bergotong royong yang nantinya bisa mengurangi sampah sisa olahan makanan rumah tangga sehingga akan mengurangi penumpukan sampah yang ada depo atau tempat pembuangan sampah (TPS) setempat.

This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of farmers in Kulaba Village to identify and manage weeds in an environmentally friendly manner using biological technology. The main problems faced by the partners include limited knowledge of weed species and reliance on chemical herbicides. The activities were conducted through a participatory approach, including weed identification training, education on biological control, hands-on bioherbicide formulation using local materials, and field application. The results indicated significant improvements in four key areas: weed identification, understanding of biocontrol principles, formulation skills, and willingness to implement in the field. Most participants showed high enthusiasm and began applying the techniques in their own fields. The program outputs include a practical guidebook, a simple bioherbicide formula, and enhanced partner capacity in sustainable weed management. Program success was supported by active farmer participation, availability of local resources, and practice-based education. This initiative is expected to serve as a replicable model for other agricultural areas facing similar issues.
